When even the weather decided to set the scene for a perfect winter wedding, we knew the open weekend was going to be a resounding success.
With the snowflakes falling and the fires lit, the hall was set to welcome our amazing couples… and amazing couples is exactly what we got! The whole team enjoyed meeting every one of you and your families.
From the early planning stages, we start getting excited about the amazing suppliers who help make the Hall look its best, and this open weekend didn’t disappoint!
Frog Florist of Manchester turned the Ballroom aisle into a dreamy meadow and the Garden Room looked out of this world with a beautiful display of greenery.
It is no secret that the staff at Tyn Dwr Hall enjoy a sweet treat or three and Confetti and Crumbs did not help the summer bodies when they provided a beautiful display of cakes for our couples to feast their eyes upon.
On any wedding day, live music is a sure thing to give your guests goosebumps and maybe even make them shed a tear. Andrew welcomed guests with the classic sound of our Grand Piano. On Saturday Seren played the Harp in the ballroom and Sunday Nerys, pulling at both the harp and heart strings.
Every Pinterest loving bride has most definitely scrolled through hundreds of bridal hair and make up looks, looking for that perfect shade of lipstick or the perfect curled hair style and on that weekend, we had a dream team of beauty experts to help make those Pinterest dreams a reality. On Saturday, we had Paint me beautiful by Nicky and Sunday, Perfection by Victoria and Jemma Stening working their magic.
No open day would be complete without a giant light up Tyn Dwr Hall, of course! This eye-catching accessory would add a touch of fun to any day provided by Uplit event hire.
Wild Garlic served up a treat in the form of Soup and Disco Fries, but their real show stopper was the tower of Welsh cheese.
The open weekend is always a special date on our calendar but for one of our couples the 20th January 2018 will always be a special date in their diary.
After being together for exactly 7 years, Paul proposed to Anna on a rainy day in North Wales. Both now live in Cardiff but were visiting Anna’s parents for the weekend. Paul took Anna (and Pabi the family dog) up Moel Famau on the same walk that they did when Paul first visited North Wales 7 years previously. Despite the rain and mud, Paul (who is learning Welsh!) got down on one knee and popped the question in Welsh! On that very same afternoon, they came to our open day! When they saw Tyn Dwr Hall, it was love at first sight and they can’t wait to tie the knot here in March 2019…A whirlwind proposal!
